This position’s general responsibilities will be to perform general cleaning inside warehouse buildings, exterior grounds and walkways. Responsible for performing janitorial duties as outlined in the service scope for each location assigned.
Knowledge or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques is essential.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Capable of operating an electric pallet jack, ride-on scrubber/sweeper and/ or golf cart
- Must follow safety guidelines at all times while operating equipment
- Must participate in training programs throughout the year
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
- Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.
- Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas.
- Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.
- Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.
- Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition.
- Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
- General cleanliness of grounds
- Other routine basic cleaning duties as assigned
- Reports work accomplished orally or on written work order to supervisor daily.
- Follow proper timekeeping protocol

- Basic knowledge of cleaning products or willing to learn.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Six months or more related experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to lift objects (trash bags) up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Frequent bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
- Walking in throughout the building and around area with great frequency
- Ability to climb stairways safely and without limitation.
- Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals), manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation)
- Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours.
- Frequent walking, standing, stooping, reaching and bending for more than 4 hours at a time.
- Repetitive movement for up to 4 hours at a time involving the shoulder, hands, knees, hips and back (both upper and lower)
